y pipe/ cel codes

i know there's been a thread about this but i couldn't find it....i have a warpspeed y pipe, rt cat and warpspeed cat back.....I've changed the 02's but the front 2 arent being recognized.....Ive heard about a device that "tells" the ecu that the signal is fine, but i cant find it......plz help

There is no such device, not for the front O2 sensors. What do you mean they aren't recognized? If you bough O2 sensors for a Pinto of course they won't work.

No u probably have to reset your ecu, thats what he means. Theres no tool necessary check the stickies for resetting ecu. You have to do that after replacing any sensors

What do you mean they are not recognized? Are you getting a CEL with error codes indicating the o2's are bad?

O2 simulators can be purchased here http://www.o2simulator.com/
You can't run a simulator in place of the front o2's because the ECU needs accurate oxygen readings from them to correctly maintain your air fuel ratios. The simulators are generally used for the rear o2's when a cat is taken out of the exhaust system. That keeps the ECU "thinking" O2's are still there so no CEL comes on.

He's talking about the rear 02 simulator. There's no such thing for the front o2 as the ecu uses them to control the engine. The rear o2 just sends a voltage to the ecu and does not influence any engine parameters.

thx alot...although when they were changed the ecu was reset. and im positive that they are the correct sensors for the car......ill keep looking though.....
