Battery Voltage

Just a simple question...What is the saf range for battery output? I'm probably not wording it very well, but for example, my head unit displays current usage, and it's steady around 13.5-13.7 volts. I'm sure it's not completely accurate, but it just made me wonder what is average. Anyone know?

For the most part, anything about 12 is good. Anything above 15 is BAD, though, and is a symptom of a bad charge regulator in the alternator.

Normal battery levels:

Engine off - ~12.5v
Engine running, lots of accessories running - 13-14v
Engine running, no accessories running - ~14.5
