Big problem with Fidanza HELP

Recently, I've installed EXEDY stage I clutch and Fidanza flywheel.
I also had to replace the crank sensor, because the car wouldn't start.

My motor mounts are bad, and need to replace the asap, but....

The car still starts very hard, especially while cold. I have to give it some gas to get it up and running.
Here's even a bigger problem: When i shift from 3rd to 4th, and 4th to 5th, car ... shudders a bit (depending how much do a slip the clutch in; the less I slip, the more it shakes)
It feels bad when car shudders. Drivibility gone to hell. A friend that installed it says it's because these are performance parts. I understand his point.
Anybody has the same problem or can help out there.
thx

Ive got that exact same combo...and love it, no problems. How good of a friend is it? Were you there during the install?

try bleeding it again.

If not the throw out bearing could be put in wrong...

The shaking is all because of your motor mounts.

Sounds like a nice combo to me tho.

just to reinforce the above posts, bleed it again. bad motor mounts will cause jerks during acceleration. as for the bad starting, youll need to see if that tranny to engine ground is in tact. clean off the two crankshaft positoin sensors the REF and the POS, theyll both cause hard start conditions. its likely that alot of metal shavings fell on the CPS (REF), which i think monitors the flywheel.

There are other members, including my self that have gotten a "hesitation" feel sometimes with the fidanza flywheel. It only happens to me when going into 3rd or 4th and it feels like the clutch just does not grab for a second. Don't know why or what is really going on but there was a multi page thread about this a while back. But it rarely happens to me. I am installing a new clutch and a replacement frictions disk on my fidanza next week. Hope I don't expierence this "shuddering" again.

Thank you guys, I'll try these things...

I am kinda glad that other people have experienced the same problem. (don't take this the wrong way) It tells me that he did do a honest job on it.
The whole upgrade cost me over $800. (parts and labor). It would KILL ME if that money went to waste - big disapointment.

As far as motor mounts go, I need to change them asap. Hope that will help.
It does pull harder in the low revs, and i just love revving the engine now... faster revs.

Could this have to do with the fact that Fidanza is alluminum? Lighter and softer metal then steel?

A sloppy drive train due to bad motor mounts is a very different feeling than the flywheel issue
