any difference in changing brakes on a ABS equipped car vs. non-ABS?

any difference in changing brakes on a ABS equipped car vs. non-ABS?

have a question on brake job...my max is non-ABS and i work on the brakes all the time, but how much different is it to change the brake pads on a car that is equipped with ABS?

sorry for the noob question

shouldn't be any more difficult, though I can not speak from personal experiance, just from common sense. My understanding of ABS is that the main difference is what controlls the pressure that the rotors apply, not in the rotors themselves. Correct me if I am wrong though.

There is no difference. The abs sensor is not near the caliper or pads.

I don't know if this is true of all cars (or the maxima for that matter), but evidently forcing fluid back can harm the abs system, so you should crack the bleeder when pushing the piston back in.

There is no difference at all, its the same thing brake pad and caliper wise, so the job is basically the same. The only difference are the ABS sensors which you dont have to deal with and ABS ring on the axle which you dont have to work on or even near it.
