when should clutch engage..?
I just completed the SS clutch line replacement; bleeding went fine - no more bubbles from either the lower or upper bleeders. My question is when should the clutch begin to grab? Mine grabs the moment that I begin to raise the clutch pedal from the floorboard. There's about 2" of free travel when I push in on the pedal before I can "feel" the clutch begin to disengage. Does all this sound to be within normal tolerances? There's no chatter or any other problem. I am wondering if there is an adjustment to be made between the clutch pedal and master cylinder. I searched "clutch adjustment Maxima" online with little results. The clutch was replaced by the stealership about 30K miles ago. I haven't been driving the Max much lately due to a job that provides me a vehicle; the Max feels a bit foreign (exotic) whenever I get to drive it... On the plus side, I do notice much more "clutch feel/response" with the new SS line and fresh fluid.
