Help!

I have a 1999 Max and i recently (Christmas) installed a 12'' Alpine sub and Audiobahn Amp. I blew my stock rear deck speakers and just recently installed new ones (Dual Audio). I hooked up the blue LEDs that come with them and am convinced that it's distracting while i drive so my buddy and I installed a toggle switch today to turn on and off the lights when i want. We drilled a hole in the bottom of the dash next to the gear shift but there's a box (i assume it's for the cigarette lighter?) so we had to move to the other side of the gear shift. We put black electrical tape over it which kind of helps but not really.

Is there anything that i can put inside/over it to make it not noticable like some time of filling compound?

I went to my local hardware store (OSH) and purchased a little plastic plug that i believe was 9/16 and plugged up the hole. Its a quick fix but i dont know what im gonna do when i go to sell the car.
