I havn't tried it on my Max yet but I had one on a saturn I used to have. It was a HUGE pain in the ***. I actually had to cut the clear plastic front away from the black plastic backing, install the gauge plate, then re-glue the clear front. (but like I said, that was on a different car)

Here is the brief version;
You have to take out the gauge cluster open up the clear front, glue it in there and reassemble it all.

Im sure there is a writeup in the stickies, you can also follow the stickie on how to install indiglo gauges... same procedure.

you dont glue jack! It has a 3m tape on it.Its an overlay.
Install is real simple.
You basicly will have to remove the gauge cluster( if you dont know how,get a Haynes)
Once the cluster is removed, the clear plastic has little tabs that hold it into the cluster.
Unsnap all the tabs and pull it apart. Then peel the red tape off the back of the bezel revealing the 3m tape and stick it, jeez.

Why even say glue?
There is no glue involved and its misleading.
Its held on by 3M tape.
