Tint for Sunroof, Shop wants $100 for it lol

I called the shop by my house today and told them I wanted my sunroof tinted. I told them that I would sign a waver saying that they aren't liable if it cracks or I get injured.. so I was ready to agree to that, but then the guy told me $100 to tint the sunroof. I can't believe it cost that much just for that little piece of glass, so I told him nevermind.. I got my whole car tinted for $150, so why so high for the sunroof?? what a joke

Maybe it is because they do not do as many, many its a pain in the next to tint on the roof of the car (gravity owns you), or maybe they are just looking to make it worth their while, I mean you want it done right? So they are going to charge you ...

well im a window tinter myself and i personally do not recomend tinting a sunroof because summer time when its hot it will start to attract way to much heat and sooner or latter crack i'[ve seen it heppen before

My sunroof is tinted, but I think the glass came like that from the factory. I have an aftermarket sunroof and it was installed 1 month after my max was first purchased in early 97 according to the receipt/warranty card. Not to mention it closes by itself when car is turned off and it has one press open/close.

sucks for you guys

I got my sunroof tinted with the car all at once. The whole car 15%, a strip on the windshield and mirror tint on the sunroof was $120 bucks so $100 bucks for just the sunroof is absurd.

As for the tint peeling, cracking, fading, etc. Mine has a lifetime warranty so who cares ? The mirror tint blocks very little light but blocks tons of heat and adds privacy so no one can look down into your car. My head no longer cooks, I can enjoy the light if I want to and no one can look in.

DAMN, thats a myth.. I found a guy who has been tinting since 1978. I got my sunroof tinted just now for $30 with 20% tint. Done Flawlessly, I would recommend this to everyone with a sunroof. WOOT!!!!!!!!

No Offense but I would much rather take the word of an installer who has been doing it since 1978 than your opinion being that ur only 20 and cant have that much experience in the tint game..

i dont see a point in doing this. Theres a shade you just pull forward if you dont want the sunlight there. I like it not being tinted, cause it makes my side windows feel darking inside the car when the sunroof is open. Thats just my opinion though.

Well maybe because you live up North.. You see it gets very hot and sunny down south, so thats why I did it.. Oh well to each their own..
