The reason I don't like clear corners, unless...?

Guys, many of cannot simply comprehend how stock amber corners appeal to me more.

Well, I'll tell you. The reason why I don't like clears is because IMO both the DC ones and the regular e-bay ones don't look good. Back some time ago I used to see a few Maximas with these "real" clears in corners. It's hard to explain, but they were NOT sort of cloudy, like the ones now. The clear part was truly clear. These were OK looking and I would consider putting them on. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I cannot find them anywhere.

yes they are cloudy guys. Look at the smaller part of the clear corner and it's cloudy. Post pics so that I can show you what I mean. The "real" clears were honestly, truly clear all throughout.

See, I knew it was going to be hard to explain. I remember one guy did a thread on this, but that was long, long ago. He pointed out the exact difference between regular clear corners which 99% of you have. Then he showed his and looked 100 times better. No, they weren't custom made. They used to be sold long ago. I'm not making this up. Big difference in the way they looked.

yes! i know what you mean, but i'm the exact opposite. I like the fuzzy clear corners more than the diamont cut ones. and also I hate amber's especially in the front.

Yep, just get what you like. I got the one's from ebay and I'm very pleased with the way they look. I put blues in them and they look great.

that's too bad, because they were made at one point.

Why can't you people understand that I am not making this **** up? Many of you are too "new" to the org to know anything about this. I'm new too, but I know that I read a thread about this a long time ago. A guy had them on his black Max and I believe his name might have been nick, but I'm not 100% sure. The clears I'm referring to actually look like clears, not the crap-looking cloudy ones most of you have.

I had my dimond cut clears(tinted) for over a year, maybe 2 years. I got in an accident, car got totalled, clears were fine. Few weeks later gave to a friend and the next day he got in an accident and the clears were destroyed. Now he has DCs again and I have stock corners painted black on the inside and soon to be tinted,

There are two kinds of clears. One is foggy clear and the other is dc clear. The DC clears look better obviously. But I've been thinking about going back to orange as well.

Armani I know what you're talking about, the clear corners that you can actually see clearly the "dip" where the bulb lies, instead of the cloudy cover, almost like a 97-99 headlight only squished a little. It's almost like a clear window into the entire clear corner, instead of bulges or ridges that skew the interior look of the clear corner.

It was on a thread I think a couple months ago, I searched far and wide to try and get the TRUE clear corners, because they looked really hot, but I eventually gave up and got ones that were as clear as I could find off of eBay.

haha, thanks to 2 of the guys above!

Everyone on here thinks they know it all, but they don't. I bet 90% of you people have never seen the clears I'm talking about. Yet, nearly all of you were ready to flame me and thinking "wtf is this guy talking about". That's what:

Someone finally helped me find the APC "REAL" clears. If you bozos who doubted me still can't tell the difference, maybe it's time to actually have a look at your cloudy clears. So, unless you have DC clears (which are not truly clear themselves), then you have cloudy clears, END OF STORY!

yeah, that's a very positive response dipsh!t.

They look best on a black maxima because I've seen them on one. Also, he put in an orange bulb which makes it look worse. I'd put in a silver coated one which still lights up as orange.

THese are by far the best clear corner lights available. They are completely clear and even have horizontal lines like our headlights have in them. These are what I have.

holy crap guys its corner lenses for Gods sake. jeez. and the thing is outside of the .org no one knows the difference! i swear, people really cant tell most of the time that you have anything done to your car when you have clears instead of the stock amber and if they cant tell that then they're sure as hell not gonna tell if there the dc lenses instead of the apc ones.

armani if you like the stock better then gen 1 or 2 clears then just keep it stock and be the same as 95% of all the maximas out there. your not going to be able to get your apc clears anyways because they have been discontinued.

as far as im concerend, we have seen apc clears now, we recognize that there is a 3rd version of clear lenses for our car and we also know now that that type cant be purchased anymore. so why should we continue wasting bandwith by arguing over corner lenses?
