Questions on front brakes
Do the pistons just push into the calipers with a C clamp or do you need that tool to turn then in? Is it worth the $20 a side for a new pin kit? I got 63k miles on the car.

I don't know why you'd need new caliper slider pins. Just take the old ones out, clean the holes (with a q tip or something...or hell don't even bother cleaning them), regrease the pins, and that's that.
Front brakes take a large C-clamp (got mine at home depot). The twisting tool is for the rear.

Take the caliper pins out and check for wear. I did my brakes at 55K and I had to replace them in the front but the rears were fine. I bought my caliper pins at Advance Auto and they were $22 for 4 of them. As an aside the rear caliper pins are the same as the front ones. Might save you some time trying to find rear caliper pins if you ever needed them. It has been 18 months since I did my brakes with no noise or any other problems.
