possible to turn on radio/clock with no key in ignition?

is it possible to basically fool the system into thinkin that the key is in ignition and turned into position #2 so that the radio can be turned on/off, the time/mileage can be seen or simply the god damn cell phone can be left in the car and recharged. loll i hate how the key must be turned to position #2 inorder to get the electric flow going. sometimes when my cell is about to die, i wish i could leave it in the car at school for 1 hour and let it charge then come back and get it. but looks like i'll have to let the battery die cuz there is no way in hell im leaving the keys in the car just to charge my phone. lol

has somebody done this or does anyone have any idea?? at least power to the damn charger would be good..........

hmm, a good feature to have. I would cut the cigarette light wire and hook it up to the battery.

Question:

Your saying that the Cig lighter is always on? Even when the car is off.

If I left something plugged in there(ex. Cell phone charger) could this possibly drain the battery?

Thanks.
