I was wondering the symptoms of having a ripped open flex section.On the stock pipe. Like what problems would it cause, would it cause loss of power ?

 

...you would have an air leak in your exhaust, yes it would cause a light loss of power. Not a 100hp loss or anything.

You would most likely also have an annoying 'leak' sound.

 

I had a ripped flex section on my stock y-pipe nd it didn't cause any loss of power. I'd say time and running over dead deer would have cause my flex section to rip.

 

leaks are never your friend, though it will probably just sound like crapola. And of course, this presents a perfect time to get a Y-pipe and gain some power

 

then the y pipe must be done . i hear the HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS lol its annoying and yet i swear im losing hp too cuz like if i get under the car before i drive and try to close it up it runs nice for like 5 minutes and then it starts to be gay. But then again i barely get 300 to a tank so its prolly otherstuff too. What do you re comend for a y pipe -- 95 max se

 

Bad motor mounts would cause you to rip your flex section. And you would know, it would be farting all over the place.
