Failed Inspection - b/c of Front Suspension (damper replacement) - need help!
so i woke up extra early this morning to beat the lines at the inspection station only to fail because of "front suspension - #12080" so i ask the guy whats wrong and he mumbles something and walks away.

on the paper they gave me it says, "check suspension system components, recommend damper replacement"

now i am clueless as to what this means. can anyone please help me out?
how much does a damper replacement cost and is it absolutely necessary?

I know I am in need of an alignment, could this be the problem.? The ride on my car is not bumpy.

someone please help. it would be greatly appreciated.

You need new struts...damper=the thing that stops it from bouncing.

I dont even have my car tested for emissions, im in and out in 20min for my inspection
