I got a 3rd gen, but there is a strong possibility that I might get rid of it by summer time and get a 95+....

Also, do 4th gen GXE's come in 5spd? basically all I want is a sunroof and preferably a 5 spd with ABS... but I want to spend the least amount of $ possible, so the most basic standard equipment will do.. how much more expensive are SE's compared to GXE's? Can I find what I am looking for, for under 9 grand, preferably under 70k in milage?

What are some differences between the stock GXE's and SE's?
Is it the same as it is on the 3rd gens?

thanx

I believe, the only way to get a sunroof in a GXE is in an automatic. The 5sp GXE is truely a base car. No frills. So then, the lowest 5sp model is an SE that is available with a sunroof. I hate the way manufacturers "package" options together, because they never work out to the way I would like. Just like the only way to get the climate control in an SE is to get leather. The only way to get cold weather package on an SE, is to get comf & conv pkg & ABS. C&C pkg is fine, I wanted that, But I hate ABS, and wasn't about to spend $1100 to get something I hate, just to get heated seats and mirors. And it's not just Nissan it most all manufactures.

5-speeds were available in GXE and SE models.

SE models have a firm performance-oriented suspension, alloy wheels, better tires. Late model SEs have 16 inch wheels and rubber. Some of the luxury options available on the GXE are standard equipment on the SE.

There are several on-line used car price references. I like Edmunds. Go to http://www.edmunds.com/used/nissan.html
for information on prices, and also the standard equipment packages on each model.

I see what you guys are saying...

My SE got a sunroof and heated mirrors, better suspension..
I suppose in order for me to get a 5 spd AND a sunroof, I should get an SE then.. i'm planning on adding the spoiler if I get a GXE anyways. I just want a 5spd with a sunroof, the hell with all the other crap, I will upgrade the wheels anyways.

About the online pricing....
I've actually found that most of them aren't that accurate, blue book displays the kind of prices you would see at a Nissan dealership, which are usually higher.... If u go to a used car dealer or an auction or even a private seller, prices will be lower then the range they show. I got my car for 7 grand when blue book value for it was around 9 or so. and I got mine at a used car dealership.

thanx for feedback!
