OK I have two simple questions that may be pretty stupid but they are really bugging me.

first i need to take the front pillar (at least that's what i think it's called) off to run a wire for a black light behind it. What i'm calling the front pillar is the piece of plastic that runs from the top of the car to the dash on the windshield.... understand? i hope so... but anyways i think that it probably just has some clips but i really don't want to break....
any suggestions..?

second i think that there is something wrong with my cigarette lighter. it pops out really easy and i can't figure out how to put it back in so that it will be strong and not pop out every time i unplug my radar detector to plug in the black light....

Hope somebody will help
thanx

Ummm...

...the pillar pops off with a little careful persuasion. Start at the top, and pry it off carefully with a flat screwdriver or something. Use Very EVEN pressure and it will never break, but if you jerk it of or "horse" it off, you'll crack it.
I cracked mine the frist time because I just yanked. U cant even see the crack though.

As for the ciggy lighter, wrap a small piece of electrical tape around the metal base of it. Just below the handle part so it will fit snug.

Hey boy, whats all this talk about yankin n jerkin?

Sounds kinda perverted to me! LOL haha, I just read my post and its kinda wacked. Ups there I go again. Oops it was an accident moderator I swear. LOL.

OK, another solution is run the wires to your Radar detector to one of the spare fuses in the fuse box underr the dash. Just cut off the plug and wrap the exposed wire around the prongs of the fuse. Now your lighter socket is free.
