I couldve purchased a 2001 ford tarus with half miles for the same price as my max.

Fords are king of resale value

look at my sig. i lost to an auto. i'm an auto. and i have no problem if i get beat by an automatic hyundai. it only hurts people like you who think maximas are god's gift to car drivers...

also:
a good maintained 4th gen (10 yr old cars well maintained..hard to find...)
a good driver (also hard to find. most suck at launching and driving on a strip)
a 5 speed (uncommon)
well thats not exactly a normal person driving a normal maxima is it? i'd guess only 20% of maximas are 5 speeds. and of those only 20% are good drivers...so the chance of a maxima going 14's stock is about 1 out of oh who knows. all i'm getting at is MOST maximas are slow.

whatever i just wanted to say that maximas arn't that amazingly fast stock. and 90% are slow. so if you have a fast maxima good for you. i don't. and i don't want one anymore.

bye!

i could be wrong on the #s but i assume it's very close to that.
what makes you a good driver?
because you can go through the gears quick?
what times do you get on the 1/4?
don't mean to be a jerk but i'v heard every single person who drivers a 5 speed say they are good at it and a good driver.
who would admit otherwise?

oh and i only lost to the hyundai because: i have no mevi. i have no JWT ECU. but wait i need mods to beat a stock hyundai? lame! go look at the new ones. some are quick. the cars suck. i hate them. they are POS. but it beat me and i'm not ashamed. bleh i'm done whoreing up this thread.
peace,

9 percet? dam btw i lost to a 95 vr6 hatch back stickshift well we are neck and neck up to 4th gear then he was out, my car has no high end. then me and 4 of my boys were driving down jamaica ave where a gsr 5spd humiliated me badly it burned me like 4 times. Then today my boy just bought a type 2 acura legend with 70k miles, it burned me from a rolling start, but from a stop i kinda kept up.

btw im auto with full leather interior and full system with 18s

you know you drive a 4th gen when...

...your CEL light burns out. (happened to me)
...cleaning your TB almost always fixes the problem

4th gens are slow. a stock 5 speed can hit very high 14s, but it is VERY hard, you gotta be a DAMN good driver for it to happen. compare the 4th gen to a modern day v6 sedan, it gets owned in every way. its fast compared to 4 bangers and to other v6's from its time. you can spend a good 5 or 6 grand on a nice big turbo or s/c kit and you car will still be running high 13s, and for that much money, thats not impressive.

thank you for your post.
a 2k5 accord auto makes me look like i have a 4 banger =[
why spend 4-6g on a turbo for a 10 yr old car...when you could put that as a down payment and trade in your old car for a nice shiny new car?
as sad to say it as i am i'm about done with my 4th gen. if i dumped the same $ into another car i'd be running 13's by now =[

So a guy who drives a heavy *** GLE boat with an automatic and probably a bad knock sensor gets to proclaim that "4th gens are slow"?

And another one says turbo maximas run high 13s?

I wonder why Honda owners don't take us seriously...

if you took maybe 5 minutes to read the time slip thread in the 1/4 forum, you would know that basic boosted 4th gens run mid-high 13s, all because of bad traction.

and an auto max doesnt need a bad knock sensor to be beatten by a new accord. they are fast and will rip the **** outta my car and most likely yours too.
