My Maxima Shakes like hell, help please
I got a problem with my 99 Maxima, My Service Engine Soon Light recently went on, and once it did, my car starts to shake like there is an earthquake when it is going at a very slow speed or at a stop. This only happens sometimes when I start my car, not all the time. To stop the car from shaking, I always have to step on the gas up to around 6000 rpm then it will stop shaking. Can someone please help me and tell me whats wrong?

What kind of spark plugs do you have in there? How old are they?
Take your car to an Advance Auto Parts or Autozone and ask them to pull a code for you. I'm guessing it's your coil pack(s), but could be the plugs too.
Whats wrong is your engine is missing. One cylinder isnt firing.
How to fix it.
Find which code comes up.
Whatever cylinder is misfiring (I hope you dont get an 0300- random cylinder misfire) will have to be checked. First replace the spark plug. Then see if it helps. Then replace the coil pack. See if that works. Then replace the fuel injector. If your car is still missing then you're in deep doodie.
Start thinking compression tests and checking the wiring to the injector and coil packs. Check your crankshaft and camshaft position sensors too.
You have a start. Go get em!
