wierd sound... (tranny probs?)

I was driving yesterday, and at around 4 k rpm when my car shifted to 2nd i heard a weird noise. i pulled over at a gass station and the sound go t louder in park and neutral, and kinda went away but still was there in drive. So after i left gas station i was driving and let off gas, and when i tryed accelarating again, the car was in neutral and just reved. (i was in drive) Does anyone know whats up?

wtf? hhm our cars are known for doing things and then not happening again. i bet if yu drive about a year from now that would never occur again. then again it could be the gears slipping. when you put it in park then to drive do you feel like a large thump?

w/e my mom took it to amco and is having them repair it. I wanted to do it myself, but she told me when you can pay for your repairs you can do w/e you want. So i guess they are fixing it. Kinda sucks cause that gave me the heads up to do a manual swap. And it sucks that itle probably cost upwards to 1500 dollars, but i heard great things about amco, and i trust them to do it well.
