fitment of 95-96 greddy catback on 99?

ok i know this is a huge reposted question but i havent seen this covered in a while and sense im about to buy a greddy catback tomorrow i want to know... i do know that both the 95-96 and the 97-99 catback is the same size cept the 97-99 one is like two inches longer or somthing so you can read the greddy etching on the tip. id rather not have a big tip sticking out and the 95 one is cheaper but...the almighty question of, do i need to get a differnt bung welded in to fit my rear O2 sensor? i know theres one in the 95 style one but is it or is it not to big of a hole to fit the 99 rear O2 sensor? ive seen people say its direct bolt on and others say they had to take it to a shop to get a smaller O2 bung welded in so itd fit? so whats the verdict do i need a stupid tip coming out of my bumper or can i go sleek and even with my bumper with no problems? thanks for any help on this sense im gonna be purchasing early morning -Ryan

other than the O2 sensor bung, i heard the 95-96 might even look better on our 99s because its shorter or something

i was looking into getting an Apex'i WS and the 95-96 looked like it fit better than some catbacks designed for the 97-99

it has to deal with the 96's having a shorter rear end

*but yes, you'd need to weld up one bung and then make new one

99s do not have a sensor in the b-pipe, so you can just plug it. I don;t know about greddy, but I bought a Megan catback madde for a 95 for my 99 and the b-pipe coming off the cat is about 6in. too short, so I will have to weld in an extension piece.

Isn't this an SP2 specifically for the 1999?

We do carry an SP2 specifically for the 97-99. The tip is longer on the 97-99 SP2..

I have a GReddy EV0 on my 97 which was designed for a 2000+.Plug the o2 sensor in the b-pipe and weld in a piece of pipe about 4" long.Should give you about a quarter inch sticking out of the rear.I had to cut some out since the 00+ was longer.

what r u talking about there IS an O2 sensor in the b pipe where do u think it is? isnt that little piece of pipe that holds the O2 sensor included in the "catback" from greddy? i really hope it is cause i cant get that out due to both bolts snapping off at the flange . steve, so with that 99 that has the 95 exhaust the O2 sensor fit in there ok? otherwise ill just get the 97-99 cause i dont want any stupid issues i just want the greddy and thats that no welding little pieces or custom fitting stuff im sick of ghettoness and spending close to $500 on a catback i would expect everything to be picture perfect with no issues
