Timing chain question

Timing chain question

I read in the FAQ's that any 4th gen should have a timing chain. I swore that I read or heard somewhere before that they started useing the chain in 1997. Can someone verify this? Thanks

Thats a Negative. All 4th gen maximas or Must I say all VQ motors have a timing chain, suppose to last the life of the engine.

i also heard that they are supposed to last the life of the engine, but people tell me that mine needs to be changed =/

mzmtg have you ever gotten your replaced? I know you have like 200k miles on your car. I have 104k on mine, Im pretty positive that these things are suppose to last at least 200k.
