led gauge bulbs

im changing my led's behind my gauges pretty soon. i have some white ones, but they kept dying on me. i would like to replace them with another white bulb, just one of better quality and one without hot spots. so if you guys can post pics of your gauges and say what kind of bulbs you used i would appreciate it
thanks

This picture makes the hotspots look pretty bad... They're not nearly as bad in person, but they're still there, I have zero complaints about it though, I love 'em.

Oh yeah I used the 4-LED-per-bulb size 194 from superbrightLEDs.com

hey u know the bulb holders for the gauges right? can u wire up an led w/ a resistor to it? like for example for the turn arrow bulbs, just remove the bulbs and stick an LED w/ resistor in it?

i bought the 6mini led 194 bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com and they just fit into the housing. I have very minimal hot spots too.

yes you can. i helped my buddy do his cavalier which uses 194's as well; we used a little 3mm led with a resistor and it worked great. here's pictures of my max gauges by the way:

i'm pretty sure there's a pic in my sig too

I had a tough time doing LED's on my needles i took out my gauge cluster put in some 15k white LED's I got from the guy every one on here gets there LEDS from off ebay i forgot his name i made them up soldered them in with 470ohm resisters and they came out really crappy very lowly lite i was expecting to be blinded and was very suprisingly disappointed i screwed around with it the whole week reaiming the leds over 50 times taking them out trying 410 resistors with no positive out come so i took it all out and put 74# white bulbs in they look ok im gunna solder some 194 polarg whites in this summer but idk if i was doing somthing wrong or i just have ****ty luck but that was my experience with LED's in the gauge cluster

how the hell are your 194s so bright? mine are very dim, and the hotspots are real bad. one side of the cluster is brighter than others, it looks like shiet
