keyless entry problem: electrical gremlin
The factory keyless entry system on my '95 SE is acting up and it's driving me crazy. If you press the unlock button once, the drivers side door unlocks as ususal, but when you press it a second time to unlock the rest of the doors, all the doors unlock and then immediatly re-lock themselves. If you press the unlock button two more times, all the doors will unlock. This happens every time, and with both remotes. Also, if I drive around with the doors unlocked, after some period of time they will lock. It won't do this every time, and sometimes will go for weeks without this behavior. Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? I was thinking it might be a problem with the keyless entry brain, but I don't have the factory manual which i assume has some sort of diagnostic. Is that part expensive to replace? Thanks for any help on this vexing problem.
