My 4th. Gen muffler got punctured somehow and I think the inside is somewhat messed up. The bottom cover is practically shedding.

Do you guys suggest I install another stock muffler? Or go with an aftermarket like an SP2, or even a 5th. Gen Muffler? What ya'll think?

 

I went with the Stillen bolt on muffler. NICE!! sounds great. About 300 bucks though.

 

If you have a stock Y pipe then get anything that fits your budget and or style. If you have an aftermarket Y pipe use a stock muffler. It will keep things nice and quiet.

 

ya. my stillen muffler sounds pretty bad w/budget ypipe..prolly gonna throw my stock muffler back on.

 

how about sp2? i've been hearing good things about it. but probably needs modification since i have 97-99 =(

It depends how how loud you want your car. If you want quiet then stock or 5th gen. If you want loud then some other muffler or cat back.
