I want anybody's recommendation on putting Redline transmission fluid in my car. Also, where can I pick up the stuff and where should I take the car to have it done? I have a 99 SE 5spd and I will probably run synthetic throughout because I want nothing but the best for my ride.

I'm with you regarding synthetics. Run Mobil 1 10-30 and went ahead and put in the Redline MT90 Syn in my 5spd. No problems. Shifts are really pretty much the same. If you're in snow country it'd probably make a great difference. Don't have to worry about that here in Savannah, GA . Do the install yourself. Very easy. I had a link that showed where the manual tran drain plug is....it's not where you'd expect it. Some guys removed what they thought was the drain plug only to find it wasn't and had a spring come out. Check out some of the FAQs for the how to sites. They'll tell you what tools you need and where that darn plug is. Put her up on a lift and you're there. Easy.

Cheers

Please read this misplaced post. It's a reply to your thread.

I also recommend synlubes. It was the cheapest source for MT-90 I found online. Since they're in Baltimore and you're in GA, it shouldn't take too long to arrive. I'm in NC and my order took two days via UPS Ground. It was very well packaged; the bottles were even taped around the lid to prevent any accidental opening.
