problem with auto tranny
problem with auto tranny
i dont know if this has been posted b4, but im juss gonna take a crack at it so bare with me.....well i juss had a 60k tuneup, replaced the plugs, fuel filter, oil change....all that good stuff, and i have also done a couple neutral drops, so i dont know if that would contribute to the problem. well the problem is, when the car is in Drive(automatic), it sometimes drops below 500rpms for an instant and it jerks a little bit and it feels like its gonna stall, which is weird because its automatic. it does it quite often. after i noticed this problem i got the plugs changed thinkin that was the cause, and it still happened. i had a mechanic check it out, and couldnt identify the problem.
i dont know if is a tranny problem or ignition, or whatever else. if any of you guys have had this problem please let me know what i have to do to fix it, because id rather take care of it now rather than have get worse in the future..
thanks for takin the time to read, and sorry for the long story.....MAX

Does it kick and stutter when stopped at - let's say - a red light/stop signs? Does it happen only after the engine is warmed up (between H and C)? I've been having a similar issue, so I replaced the plugs. Now it seems to be getting worse. I've been told by many that our 4th gens have a nasty case of malfunctioning coil packs. I'm going to take it to someone I know at Nissan to run a diagnostic on the engine. As far as your problem goes, I don't think it has anything to do with your transmission, but I'm just a newbie, so I might be wrong.. Please provide more details.
