What are the current lights in the dome light?

Are white LEDS alot brighter than the lights currently in there?

Do you need resitors to place LEDs in your dome light?

Where can I read up on resitors and LEDs (because Im a newbie and not really sure how to work all that)

I read the stickies in there about the dome light...

It says I need to screw in LEDS and take out the current bulbs...

But I thought I had read before that the bulbs in there now can be taken out and replaces straight with LEDS???

any help??
and do you need resitors?

 

I have 20 LEDS in mine and the stock is brighter by far.
