Rotors and Pads

Rotors and Pads
We had a 95 Maxima, and at one point, our mechanic changed the pads with non-Nissan pads, and they kept squealing for months. We changed them with new non-Niissan pads, but it kept squealing. Finally, we got real Nissan pads, and there was no squealing.
Anyway, now, I need to get new rear rotors and pads all around for my 98 Max SE, and the price the NIssan dealership quoted me was outrageous. Has anyone gotten another brand that don't squeal at all, and aren't horribly expensive?

Lifetime pads are a scam. I replaced my original pads with cheapies which ended up lasting half as long. The problem is that each time the pads are replaced, the rotors have to be machined. You can only machine the rotors just so many times. You end up paying for lots of labor and a rotor change. My next set of pads are back to Nissan OEM.

yeah man....if you get all nissan oem its sure not to squeak....theres usually some kind of group deal going for brakes....not sure if you want aftermarket or stock....but stock=good stopping power, no squeals.......I think im gonna get brembos x-drilled/slotted with axxis ultimate pads.....ive read a lot about this and it should stop me on a dime with no squeaks.....just remember you get what you pay for.....dont go to nissan for a brake job-theyll rip you a new *@^hole....my 2 cents
