First of all, I've been waiting for some money to come in, and I have been trying to be very frugal with what I have these past few months...cause I'm broke. In doing this, I have only bought $2-$3 of gas at a time. (the college I go to has a bus system that I use). Anyway, last night I had to use my maxmia. On the way home, under acceleration, it would jerk forward a few times and then stop. Im thinking its the clutch...sounds like a clutch problem..anyway, so I get back home and park. This morning I wake up late and do not have time to catch a bus...so I decide to drive. I started me car...put it in reverse (I had my car parked on a hill)...then when I reach the bottom of the hil...the max dies...I try to restart..and it comes on and dies again.....then it does nothing.....I pump the gas peadle a few times..and it comes on..then dies again. So then I go wake my room mate up and we try to push back where I had it parked...no good!..so then we push it to this other parking lot..and get it there...I try to crank it up again..it works!....so Im going to try to get it to a gas station..cause I was low on gas to begin with and maybe that was the problem. So iI get in..put my seat belt on....put it in gear..and it dies...DAMN IT!..so then I hike to a has station....get a gas can..get some gas...my car works again.

Now..I drive the car to a gas station and decide to fill it ALL THE WAY UP. As I'm driving to the gas station, I notice that the car does NOT jerk back and forth as is was....I have never dealt with a bad clutch...should the symptoms appear and reappear?....

Also, many of you will call me a dumb ***..put as I was driving ..I saw this other guy filing his car up with a gas can....needless to say..I did not laught at him!

Sounds more like low on gas than a bad clutch

definitely no gas, happened to me... it sucks, but its certainly not the cltuch

its prolly empty spots where gas isnt bieng put thru, and then a spurt comes. coz youre low..
