Throtle body spacer

I am thinking about making one.. i have everything to do it ... but i was wondering the gains from it and is it worth the time to make it ...

I made one on my VE a few weeks ago and feels like I lost high end power...
used to make good power all the way to redline, and now it starts dropping at 5600rpm. doh!
I'm going to go tinker with it some more one of these days and see if I can get the top end back.. I changed several things while I had it off to do the install, so I'm going to work backwards one by one until I find out what's causing the problem.
