Knock Sensor

My knock sensor code is still coming up. I decided to go out and try and test it but I cant seem to locate it with the info from the stickies. Anyone have a pic of where it is and what it looks like? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ok, it's very easy to spot, it's right in the "V" of the engine...it has a wire harness attached to it, and is held on to the engine by one bolt. there's a pic of it on the motorvate.ca site.

The code almost ALWAYS sets in 4g Maximas...even with a good sensor. Something Nissan never got right with the programming, I guess.

Look at your intake manifold from the drivers side of the engine. You may have to move your stock intake to get a good look. It is located under the stock intake manifold in the V portion of the block between the 2 cylinder heads. Light it up with a flash light and you will see the sensor down there and a harness that leads to it.

www.motorvate.ca is your friend.

ok maybe i was confused. when you guys say that your car threw the knock sensor code or that 4g's always throw the code, are you talking about using the self check with the ecu or using an actual diagnostic machine? bc i used the diagnostic comp. and got the ks code and a coolant sensor code. and i don't need any sarcastic remarks. as you can tell i'm new here and also new with my 4g max. thnks for the help

The knock sensor doesn't bring on the CEL ( Check Engine Light) but does throw a retrievable code of ( 0304). To answer your previous question about where to buy? You'd be hard pressed beating this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Also there are only factory KS's no after market. Good luck hope this helps
