Anyone have their original tints removed and have new ones put on? How long did it take, and how much did it cost, and what % did you get.

 

4g Max didn't come with original tint.

New for me = $148 5%

 

I just did my tints 3 days ago and i paid 200$ for 5% all around

 

5%!!!! Good lord, how do you guys even see out the windows?

 

At night it's a bee eye tee cee H. I prefer 35% from my 4g Max. BTW My 5.5g is wht has the 5%

does anybody have pics of 20% tint? im 100% sure that im getting a tint, but the legal here is 50%. im debating either 35 or 20.

 

get 20, if i could go back i would have gotten 20. im happy with my 35 but during the day i sometimes wish it was a little darker. but oh well im not complaining

 

b/c pervious owner tinted the windows... im gonna have to have it remove.. and then im getting 15% all the way around with a 5% stip on the windshield..

steeply 275$ but the guys does all the tint work for my town.. and on the weekends he builds cop cars. lol

 

yeah...i got 30% on mine, i wish i woulda gotten 20, but it still looks nice. If you're having the old one removed, it gets costly.

 

Its costing me about 300 and change. Its ridiculous i got 35% on front and 20% on back.

 

yeah...well when i took our quest in, the rear windshield tint is really messed up. So they were charging 200 just to remove the old and replace it. to that i said.... Its nuts...

 

I got 20%...wish it were darker. I regret not goin with 5%. Anyway, yeah it is a ***** to have to pay money to take them off, but the 4 door windows you can easily take off yourself, but I don't know about the back cuz the heater lines.

Also, I seen where somebody had 20% on the front 2 to fatory match the back of their Denali, then put 5% on top of that without takin off the 20%, which he said made it 2.5 or 3%. I was wondering since I got 20%, what would it go to if I put another layer of 20% on top of it?

By the way, I pair $150 all around (No Moonroof) for mine. Lifetime Warranty.

 

Mine got done today and I went with 35% on the front, 20% in the rear. Cali cops seem to be getting a little more aggressive with the tint laws here. I'm seeing more and more cars being pulled over with darkm tint, not saying that's what they got pulled over for but it's getting more and more noticible.

 

I have 10% up front and 5% on the rear windows and back window.

 

I think I have about 5 percent. I bought the stuff at wal-mart and did it myself. Cost about 20 bux.

Oh, California doesn't like my tint. All I can say is , I don't need the commie crap.

For the back window just get tint film remover or windex and spray on in the sun and let is sit for a 5-10 min. peel off or use a razor (just don't cut the defroster lines). Mine came off with no problem and the tint that came off was very old and very faded.

 

i got 20% tint...and i havent had no problems wit cops in MD...since its a luxury car....but 200....cuz i took of the tint my self from the previous owner..but i didnt feel like doin the back window...so they charged me 20 more dollars....i did it wit...soap and water...and .0000 fine steel wool..make sure its .0000 or else it will scratch ur windows...came off pretty easy...u should be able to find the steel wool at a hardware store....the guys at this tinting place told me about it so thats probably wat they use...but they might not use soap and water LOL

 

o yeah...lifetime warranty baby...yeah...189 or 179 for tints...good luck wit the tints
