Question About TPS ??

i heard that u can put more voltage to ur TPS...so that ur throttle responds quicker...if anybody has done it let me know...need some advice...one of my boys did it to his Mustang and when u touch the gas pedal that **** goes!!

You need some help understanding that there bud ... TPS doesn't control the flap opening, your foot does.

Yea, our throttle plate is controlled by a cable, its not electronic, so doing so wouldn't do a thing. Correct?

the only thing that would do is cause your car to have driveability problems....when my voltage was off my car would rev by itself in park, shift wierd....basically dont touch if unless you want problems

i think you need to learn how a tps works. remember 5v is closed throttle. anymore volts goin to it will be stupid.

Simple. Just make sure you put the cover sheet on them there TPS and you'll be ok.

0.42-0.48 is optimum closed throttle voltage. If you increase your voltage it can/will confuse the ECU into thinking that your TPS sensor is GROSSLY misadjusted, which will cause many drivability concerns and a few codes. It can/will also take out your TPS sensor and probably your ECU. Best just to leave it be.
