Dead Digital Clock Display

Hi I just bought a 99 maxima (gxe) today and the little digital clock in between the emergency lights and the defrost is completely dead. I tried to find it on the forum but I didnt see this question addressed anywhere. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks

no, pull out the a/c vents and theres 2 screws holding the clock in and a little clip, takes 5minutes... 3minutes... even 2.

Clock

I have 99 Maxima too. My clock constantly goes off and on and resets in between. I thought that one day I had kept the window open and it rained heavily and some water got in car. I thought water vapor affected the connection. I have to replace it too. How much did you pay in junk yard.

I try to pry open the vent. IT does not seem to open. Any trick that I am missing. It seems vend and plastic covering "hazard button" and "rear defroster button" is one piece ?
If you have any quick tip for me, I will appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.
