ok guys, i read 2 threads reguarding this, but was not able to find the answer i was looking for.
I will be getting the calipers but i would like to fit bigger crossdrilled sloted rotors to fit the gap.
currently running 17" rims.
which rotor will fit with the 300z calipers and also give me a nice bigger rotor that will fit nicely?

2004 rotors and brackets from matt with 300zx calipers.

cobra rotors with brackets from jeff92se and centering rings from candiman.

Veequeue also managed to put in 2004 rotors and calipers without brackets. That's going to be the cheapest, but probably won't be as dramatic a performance upgrade. Here's the thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....=1#post3658817...looks like you knew that one as you're the first reply.

Matt is the only one of these that has a rear upgrade.

With all of these you're going to have to worry about having room behind your wheels so get ready to do some measuring.

uhmm....ic. from what i hear, i wanted to get the cobra rotors, but they did not come crossdrilled, because it wouldn't be safe. Need to find out biggest crossdrilled rotors to fit my car with the z calipers. thanx guys.

crossed drilled rotors won't do jack for performance. You can find crossed drilled 13" cobra rotors if you look hard enough if you really want them.

Are you sure the calipers will clear your wheels? Aren't those Velox wheels 17x7?

yes they are. Wouldn't the brakes fit? if it doesnt..........Dman IT!

Your wheels look like they tuck in quite a bit. Your spokes curve out away from the hub, and that will help. If you are considering using relocation brackets note that your spokes taper back so there is less clearance as the spokes meet the wheel rim.

Again your wheels are quite narrow to begin with and coupled with the spoke design plus what looks like too much positive offset I’m going to guess "no", even if you use the Z32 caliper and the Z32 rotor milled to fit. Only way to find out is for you to get the ruler and start taking measurements!

Just curious, do you know what your wheel offset is?

yeah, actually my offset is +42. i hope it fits. what do you think?

When you get the Z caliper, just take off the stock one, carefully set it aside (Hang with a wire etc), mount the Z caliper and put the wheel back on

Or if you haven't purchased the calipers yet see if there's someone in SoCal with the Z brakes installed and find out if you can attempt to bolt your wheel on that person's car.

Otherwise like Jeff wrote the only way to find out is when you have the actual caliper in your possession... but I don't think they'll fit behind your wheels.

If it does, it will be CLOSE I mean REAL close. He has the spoke design for it. Looking at the rear shot, there's alot of room. But it's hard to tell on the front wheel. I guess if you don't have another 2-3" inbetween the stock caliper and inside spoke, it's not looking good
