aftermarket fuel pump
if i were to install an aftermarket fuel pump, say a walbro 255lph fuel pump on a N/A engine with mild mods, would it make any difference or just waste more gas?
when i called walbro to see if the 255lph would fit my 95 he said he is not sure, but if it does make sure you have larger fuel injectors. so make sure you know what your installing and everything else dealing with it that you have to upgrade. and 255lph upgraded fuel pump feeds more fuel to the injectors for boosted applications is that the route your taking?if not don't waste your money .

i wasnt going to buy a new fuel pump, i just wanted to see if there any gains at all.
BTW, my friend has a 91 eclipse gsx, he just baught the Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump, and DAMN, that thing pulls like crazy now, it benefited him because he is turbo.

One may not necessarily do with the other. Your friend's car hauls because he has a TURBO on the car (as mine has a SC)... the FP just "supports" the "rest".
the only think with the walbro is that it might be less expensive than oem. it does boost base fuel pressure to 40psi (stock is 34) so there is more richness in your tune. our engines seem to work well with a slighty lean setting.

If you guys would visit the GD forum once and a while you would know there is one.

But no, it won't do anything for an N/A car. Actually it will probably hurt performance because the base FP is raised therefore making it rich throughout the revband.

The only reason to get a Walbro is if:
A) You are going turbo, SC, or n2o and then a 255lhp-hp would not be a bad Idea but an adjustable FPR wouldn't either to control the idle fuel pressure.
b) Your stock one broke (doesn't happen that often) and since OEM is more expensive, get the 190lph and call it a day if A is not in your future.
