paint stock gle chrome grille
anyone paint their stock gle grille to match the body color? im in the process of doing it. im sanding the chrome painted part, but its taking forever to sand it off. anyone have any ideas what would work better? also, how many coats of primer and paint should i use? am i better off getting paint from the dealer..or can i get a can/pint from pep boys, autozone, etc.??? thanks in advance

Been there done that. Sand it down, primer it and give it 3 or 4 good coats of spray and another 2 or 3 of clear coat. Make sure they're good coats of clear, it will chip from the rocks and debris from the highway if you dont.

i used krylon fusion and duplicolor clearcoat myself. You could find spraypaints at walmart. Make sure you do a light coat of paint first and then heavy coats after. I painted mine black and i already have two small chrome chips This is a lot of driving on the turnpike if u dont know is notorious for pebbles and cracking windshields all over jersey. Good luck. oh yea, ventilation. two of my roommates moved out after I stunk oup the room.
