when I first got my 96' back in 99', I was 18, no tickets/accidents it ran like $1200 every 6 $2400 yearly which was outrageous, now that I own a home it runs like $135 a month which is still high but you will see biggest decreases when you hit age of 25, assuming clean driving record

4. 1 yr for 97 maxima & 91 honda accord full coverage for both $1100 total.

Liberty Mutual usually waives the first accident if you are a good custumer.

Oh yeah, if you live up north you will get raped on car insurance, just paint your neck red and move down south like I did.

lots of factors are invovled in insurance rates, as most of you are already aware. the obvious factors are age, driving record, and primary location of the car to be insured. one thing that some people don't realize is your credit score is also involved when calculating your insurance just as it is when you're trying to get the car itself.

2. Year of Max: 1996 SE

4. annual cost: $892 for full coverage ($250 deductible)

Marriage lowered my rates by almost half. I can't even imagine what turning 25 will do.

Not here in Massachusetts.

We have state regulated car insurance, one of the only states to operate this way. Insurance rates are set each year by the state government. Many major companies (GEICO, etc.) will not write in Mass due to this. There is NO competition in our insurance market. You go to 10 different insurance agents, you get the SAME quote, since it's regulated. In addition, it's also against the rules in Mass to use a credit score as a factor in writing an insurance policy.

Christ, if the insurance company wants to offer an "installment plan", meaning you pay per month, that too has to be approved by the state.

FYI - More on Mass car insurance: http://www.mass.gov/doi/Consumer/CSS_auto.html

How are you sure? You have to be an insurance agent to see the tables for calculating the rates based on the type and severity of the accident. If it was your fault that makes sense.

I pay $1200 a year for liability.

Was paying StateFarm $590, switched over to 21st Century .. they are new in Illinois and forming customer base .. probably that's one reason for getting it for less .. oh! there is a computer professional discount that i claimed
