Please Help My 99 Maxima Won't Start Battery Good

Dear fellow maxima owners, please help!!!!! Today i parked my 99 Maxima as usual when i returned a minute later to my dismay, my maxima would not start. I have never had any problems before. The battery was tested and its fine. What happens when I turn the key is I hear the starter cranking the engine but it won't turn on. I towed it to the dealer he said he thinks its the fuel pump and he said it cost a few hundred $$$.

1)What do you think?
2) how to diagnose?
3) how much money?

p.s. remember the car was perfect until now, and i use premium 93 gas.

1. might be
2. turn the key to ON position, try to hear your pomp (would be better if someone help you with it)
3. go to www.abay.com and look for walbro fuel pomp for maxima. around 100$ shipped. and you can replace it by yourselfe.

Read Stickys to check it yourself. There is a self diagnostic ECU for the 4th gen.

if the ses light doesn't come on after the reset, then you are good. but if you still get codes, then go with what the codes tell you to check. you are still on the right track this way.

one question though, did the engine start after you replaced the fuse?
