EGTS - Engine Coolant Temp Sensor fix

I'm trying to replace my EGTS but how do you get the electrical plug off the sensor. I've tried prying, wiggling, pulling... it won't budge and while working on it I have to make sure I don't end up ripping the wire out all together

Any ideas...

On the plastic there is sort of like a button on there. You squeeze the button and then pull it off. You can see it in both pictures

It looks like the thumb tab that you would press on is broken off. If so, take a thin screwdriver and gently jam it in at that blue spot on the last picture.

Take a good look at the new ects, and look for the latching bump that the connector snaps onto. That should give you a clue as to how the existing one is staying in place.

(All different types of connectors is nice because you can't plug them into the wrong places, but it's bad since every friggin one is a puzzle to get apart!)
