Need Help guys, Squeaking noise from front wheel

Has anyone had this problem from their max. When ever i'm driving my max I get this sqeaking noise coming from the wheel. It's much louder when I go over bumps.

hhm usually happens with aftermarket springs when you first break them in but im not too sure about stock springs making that noise, unless your struts are done. how many miles do you have?

Bad strut mounts will squeak driving normal, ESPECIALLY over bumps. If it only squeaks while making turns its the strut bearings. Blown struts on their own could make a squeaking noise, but from personal experience, my car has stock blown struts and they dont make a sound (my mom's Taurus' struts are a different story, those are blown as well and they do squeak alot).

I'd had two things cause squeaking like this:
1) the spring insulators that cover the spring at the top and bottom - using that coil-type wire loom makes for a good replacement
2) worn rubber bushing on the sway bar - the one under the steering rack.

It's a 97 gle with about 85000 miles. I have no idea what it is, I'm going to purchase some tokico shocks along with H&r springs within a month, i hope that solves the problem.

if your on a stock suspension, and you only hear a squeak when you go over bumbs, more than likely i would suggest its a control arm bushing.. you can try to push the front of your car up and down to see if you can make it squeak to get a better idea of where its comin from.. you can even just bring your car to a mechanic and let them have a look at it.

That's a new one for me. Shocks don't make much noise - unless he had good evidence to prove it, I'd suspect he's setting you up. It could be as simple and obvious as a torn swaybar bushing.

The spring insulators sometimes squeak, and you can't get new spring insulators from Nissan separate from the entire spring. IMO that's a waste of money - it's not hard to use other materials to replace the insulator and reuse your springs. If the mechanic was talking about Nissan parts, and by shocks you meant to say springs, this could be a legitimate answer.
