Car died while driving - FIXED!!

I know a lot of people post troubles with their car stalling at stoplights, but my problem was that it stalled while driving after it was warmed up. I would be driving on the freeway at normal speeds and the engine would just suddenly stall out. I'd pull over, wait for about 15 minutes, and the car would start back up and continue driving as if nothing was wrong. After a while it would do the same thing. I found that running the heat full blast reduced the frequency.

I pulled the ECU codes and it said my camshaft position sensor and knock sensor were out. I put a new CPS in and it works just fine. I put in a new knock sensor not long ago (could be the one time that small hands is a benefit), but that wasn't related.

The camshaft position sensor cost me $95 at the dealership. I would've gone to Schucks or Napa to avoid about $20-30 of the stealership raping, but they needed to order it and I needed to get to work that day..... Installation was a piece of cake, only requires a 10mm wrench.

Hi, I think this might be my exact problem. I know this sounds crazy, but would you mind if I gave you a call to compare symptoms? It might help me fix my car with the least amount of money spent.

My email address is mark@crownover.net. Thanks so much!
