What shock for no drop?

I have a 99 with old floppy shocks. It is a (Canadian model only?) ES which has all the good SE handling/LSD stuff, but no leather, sunroof etc. I do have a strut tower brace and rear sway bar (Catman/Stillen). Even with the rear bar, I get way too much understeer.

We get a lot of winter potholes, and my old car had the Koni/Eibach combo - nice parts on the Utah salt flats, but never again here!

I'm looking for a good quality, slightly stiff adjustable shock to use with the standard springs and no drop. Looking here and at miata.org (my other fun car), I hear consistent life time issues with AGX, and it sounds like the Illuminas are about right.

Any comments on Illuminas with the stock ES/SE springs?

Illuminas are overkill with stock springs when you arent going to need to adjust them.

for stock ride height any of those, AGX/Illuminia will give you great performance

shoot you could even get away with some non-adjustables and it would still feel new
