just as the title says....has anyone done an engine swap that wasnt a vq30 or vq35?

by ve do you mean a vq30de-k? i did that swap. theres really no other motor that anyone would desire to put in a maxima because our motors have so much potential as it is. unless someone wants to put a supra motor or rotory from a 3rd gen rx-7. if thats the motor you want in there then just buy that car.

Oh yeah, those VQ35 swaps are a dime a dozen now.

Also, dont forget the other guy who put the CA18 into his 3rd gen....

But thats not what he asked, more like if the 4g was in the RX-7s place ... That was cool though, even the gauges were in there from the Max ...

 

But seriously. I know a few people have dropped 2K engines into a 4th gen. I am currently trying to research this. Can anyone try to shed some light on it. I have gone through all the All Motor posts and the 1st 50 or so pages of the 4th gen posts and found natta.
