Unless your boosted.. how the heck do you keep blowing them???

Stop redlining at every red light

If you keep blowing them for whatever reason, unless the junk yard ones are crap, they are going to keep blowing. Get a 2k or 2k1, they are supposed to be stronger.

Good luck trying to find a Quiafe.. its no longer being imported.

Me suspects you can't shift correctly. Driving hard is different.

Nah, but I would highly consider the 5th gen trans... other than that for 5 speeds the only other thing you can really do is crryo treat the gears. Which is $$$

if you got the know-how and tools to rebuild an auto then you should be able to do a 5-spd easy! what is freezing the gears? i hope your not talking about tig welding the diff gears to get the axles to lock? that would be a mistake unless you plan on only driving straight. cryo is a good idea

Are you seriously 20 years old? I can't understand what you are trying to say. Anyways, I agree with Ant on this one....get yourself a 2K1 tranny.

Actually the trouble you are experiencing is most likely due to your driving. Too many people on here w/out forced induction are running just fine on stock trannys...

...unless you're just getting bad trannys. How many have you gone through?

yeah...you must be gettin' some junk trannies because i beat the heck out of mine and its the original 5spd w/almost 170,000. i take it to the track for bracket races at least 5 times a year and slam gears all the time when i screw around on the street. how many have you gone through? maybe you got some other issue that is causing them to go like axle wobble or misaligned drivetrain. idunno but i didnt think our trannies where THAT bad.

Doing burnouts in a 4D FWD car = Burnout queen maybe.

Seriously, the nut behind the wheel needs replaced. You're not gonna find much to upgrade this tranny because it's a 4th gen Maxima, not a Mustang. You want to slam gears and forget to pop the clutch, buy a Camaro.

Dave

PS Don't forget to put in the drain plug. Wouldn't wanna get fired from Jiffy Lube.

Don't let insults bother you...most of the time the people that are insulting you do it for fun. Other times it isn't worth e-fighting with an e-thug.

Get into a pissing match will only get your threads closed...whether or not they are helpful.
