Maxima Bludgened to Death **UPDATED**

Just as the title says, Im the proud owner of a 1996 Pearl White Nissan Golf Ball.

Elbows deep in my weekend project, which I posted up about earlier in the week, tragedy struck. A freak hail storm blew through and wrecked house. The hail was almost the size of ping pong *****. Being that I was upgrading the brakes, my car was on 4 jack stands. I was unable to even drive it to the safety of the garage. I just stood there, watched and gritted my teeth. I know, : I snaped some pix on my film camera of the carnage. I will take some tomorrow as well, and post them as soon as I can.

On the bright side. Carbon fiber hood looks like its coming up , and HOPEFULLY they can fix the rest.

You must be in N. Austin. I watched the storm come through last night. I had a big tarp ready if it started hailing (don't know if it would have done anything). But it never hit South Austin. Will your insurance take care of it? Good luck anyway man. Carbon fiber will look great on your pearl white max.

A tarp would have done diddly squat, just for future reference. I wanted to do something similar, but by the time I realized the damage potential of the hail I was not about to run out there. The hail was just too big and too much of it. I just talked to my insurance and I am covered I just hope they dont total my car I will update this tomorrow with pics so stay tuned.

Yeah, its not a pretty sight. I took it into a Dent Magic place and the guy just looked at it and said "Wow, thats the worst one I have seen so far." Then I took my car to a body shop. They guy just looked at it and said "Its gonna be totalled." If thats the case I will buy it back from the insurance company.

What part of town are you in? We only got some pea sized hail from that storm down in south Austin. Still, I was glad to have my car in the garage at the time.

I live in NW Austin. Mopac and 183. One of the hardest hit areas. I just found out at lunch the roof on my house has to be replaced as well.

I dont plan on selling the car anyway. Its worth more to me to keep since it still runs very well. If they total it I will buy it back with a salvage title. Hopefully there will be enough money left to get it fixed.
