some people just HATE on our rides!

So I posted a pic of my Max in this other forum and damn, people are hatin on me! They're wondering how I could waste money on "hubcaps" (I tried explaining that they're rims, not hubcaps but to no avail) and one dude thinks I have a Buick!! I find this all very amusing.

Anyway, if you want to read this, here ya go:

i wouldn't worry about it rowan, those guys seem to like to use big words on the internet since no one will listen to them in the real world

i'd have to say i'd have to steer more towards a doctor like yourself; plus i'd try to fake a back injury to score some valium

1st year med student here and I feel like I don't fit in in a lot of ways either. I'm definitely not the super-gunner Type A personality like most of the people in my class. Of course I like to do well and I work hard, but I don't brag about spending 12 hours in the library or freak out and b!tch to everyone that I have an exam coming up.

Edit: What are you going into?

From what I know your profession has really changed. Pay is still relatively high, but many doctors say it's not worth it. Insurance cos. own their a****. Then again, when one's a corporate man, how's it any different??

i dont mind the color of your car so much or the rims, but the altezzas could cause some ricer comments. but hey, it wouldnt be fun if everyones car looked like mine, so dont worry about what others say. it doesnt look like a buick, and as long as you like it, then that is all that matters

What I found funny was not people being critical of the specific mods I've done to my car. If you don't like the grille, Altezzas, or rims that's your preference. I don't expect that everyone will--I like them and that's what matters. I just found it funny because people on that site referred to rims as "hubcaps" repeatedly and in general just made fun of the idea of modifying cars.

well you went on a yuppie thread so i guess that is what you get in response. Personally i think your car looks good, except for the altezzas, i'd rather have a 7-series (bought by my rich mommy and daddy) j/k

I'm stock and stick. Stick & Stock. For now. Then I will slaughter 1000 horses, and condemn their souls to the engine and pour their blood in the gas tank. Followed up with a trip to my psychiatrist. Man my car is SO FAST!

And I find it interesting how they can spend 38420 years of their life studying, but not understand a wheel/hubcap difference.
