Exactly. Like he said, some ATVs can put many, if not most Maximas to shame, price-wise. Although I don't think a 2002 would be anywhere past $5K, I wouldn't doubt it would be similar in value to many of the beat up Maximas found in this forum.

My ATV (Suzuki Z400) that i got for christmas cost close to 10K bux, and they dont depreciate as much as a maxima would. at the moment, i think my ATV has a higher retail then my maxima, but still, i wouldnt even consider trading an ATV for a car or vice versa

ATVs are very expensive....for what you get. The guy wants a freakin 95/96 Max, which is NOT worth more than a 2002 ATV. 95 Max with under 100k miles you can easily buy for under 5k in excellent condition.

So in the end, WTF are you laughing about? He's making a very legitimate offer, provided somebody wants a 2002 ATV. FYI, 95 Maxima is an 11 year old car - old, very very old. If there ever was a time to get rid of a 95 Max, it is NOW.

I didn't know we were in 2006....I think a properly maintanined max stands the test of time pretty well...I'd say drive it till it breaks.

buuhhh.....

I applaud him wanting a max, but legitmate? I think not... would anyone in their right mind trade their vehicle (a max none-the-less) for an ATV? That offer is hardly legitimate.

if u need a atv and have a maxima laying around then its a good deal, only people who own a 95 max consider them nice. a max going on 11yrs isnt going to be worth a whole lot any more

Why? It's not like we have much to lose anymore. A 95 max is worth 4k now, 2k in 5 years. So in the end, who cares? I paid the equivalent of 3.2k US for my car, I'm not the one getting screwed if I sell it in 5 years. The ones getting screwed are the ones buying them brand new and selling them 5 years down the road for 1/3rd - or less - of what they were worth new.

There's a reason cars aren't listed after 10 years. It's pretty much timeless after that.

i dunno if i would do it unless i had a spare max sitting around. i mean...being able to drive on the highway, even roads at less is more of an enticing offer than to be only able to drive in woods, or on a track area only. i mean..you cannot even drive the atv to the grocery store wihtout getting a ticket

sad thing is if I were near boston I wouldn't even think twice about this deal, its DONE and DONE. I would much rather have the ATV than the headache of my max right now. In fact IF I ever get it running again I will sell it pronto. I can't deal with a car that takes this much maintainance.. Did I mention I have driven the car 3x and put $500 in it to have it not start? Sorry guys, I dont mean to sound like a hater, I always wanted a max and I get a lemon... just not cool

He doesn't even specify what model ATV it is.... if it's a modded 400ex then it might be worth it, but anything else no way.
