the fogs cover what is left behind from the plastic bars. i just put stock fogs in my gle. i would def reccommend getting stock. imo, everything else doesn't really flow with the car. anyway, when i installed my stocks, i didn't realize i had to take off the whole bumper and it ended up bein a b!tch to deal with. anyway, if you want more info PM me

I purchased the stock fog lamp kit for my GXE. Make sure your Maxima is pre-wired for the stock fogs. Unsure why one would need to take off the entire bumper for the installation...the installation of stock fogs is rather straight forward and clear. It does take some crawling under the wheel wells and loosening of the plastic wheel well shrouds in order the inspect the installation from behind each lamp. Be careful installing the new switch to the steering column...make sure you track each screw. Also, aiming each lamp can be time consuming at night...there is an aiming screw behind each lamp that may require you to dis-mount each lamp to get to...it might be best to start making adjustments to the aim before mounting each lamp tight.

Just my two cents.
