As I said yesterday, mrgeek, you are a piece of work! I am sure you will never cease to amaze your fellow .orgers of your mechanical genius. Keep up the good work, lol.

What kind of filter did you end up getting and where did you buy it?

hey im just here to make u guys look good, lol
i got a motormaster regular filter

i got it at canadian tire,
the only other good kinds was k&n which was 80, and then i have to spend 15 for the cleaning kit? f@ck that, cleaning kit is a new filter alltogher, anyways, i didnt have to make the tough decision cause they were out, and they were out of the air hog, which i was shocked that they had, but that was 79.99, so i got the stock one for 10.99

i feel ya on that one, when i changed the panel filter for the 1st time i was shocked, i had dustt, leaves, lil twigs, dead bugs, items which looked like hair or cotton thread, black dirt particles which looked like sut(sp?) (black smoke residue)...i was supprised the engine even had a chance to breathe. after the change the car was soooo much better.
