Problem with interior lights

I just added some side marker lights on my fenders. However, now the interior illumination fuse keeps blowing. What can it be? I wired the sidemarker lights to my turn signals. I had also done the bumper lens re-wire.

Did you change the interior bulbs too? I have done similar mods with the lights on my car, but I havent had it blow fuses on the interior lights. Maybe you have a short somewhere or you possibly are drawing power from somewhere other than where you thought?

i changed all the interior lights to leds....the lights which stop working are the window switch, climate control, all the buttons. Should i put a higher amp fuse? I put a 10, but it blew also. This only started after i put in the sidemarkers today.

ah you know someone else had this same problem. I think it's the LED's, try looking for the thread, but someone had changed a lot of the bulbs to led's and he kept blowing fuses inside. It doesnt make sense for the sidemarkers to cause interior lights to go out though...

I don't think that's it because led's don't use that much power. Everything was working fine for months until I added the sidemarker lights. I think it has something to do with me doing the bumper lens mod. Where is a good source for sidemarker lights?

I disconnected the sidemarker lights....that's not the problem. All of a sudden something is shorting out the interior illumination fuse. I swapped all green led's to blue and it has worked fine for months. My indiglo gauges have been on the fritz...could the inverter do something? Any ideas guys??? Please help
